Ireland says YES to marriage equality!!!
We’re delighted that we’ll soon be able to offer our wedding photography services to ALL couples in love, regardless of gender! (YAY!) We can’t wait until we have lots of lovely couples’ photos to share on our website and blog. We are SO excited to book our first same sex wedding that we want to start right away by giving away over €2000 worth of engagement and wedding photography services to a lucky same sex couple!
THE GRAND PRIZE:
A one hour location engagement shoot plus a 10”x8” framed portrait from that session. (worth €250!)

Our Classic Coverage wedding package (worth €1795!) featuring up to 7 hours of photography coverage plus ALL images from your wedding, fully edited on a beautiful USB key.
Entering our competition is simple:
1) Nominate a same sex couple who you think should win, telling us why they’re so great! You can comment below, Tweet us @designworksfoto, call us, email us privately or drop into us. It doesn’t have to be fancy – we don’t expect Shakespeare – just a few lines from the heart are perfect!
2) We will draw THREE couples to enter the grand final on June 11th where the public will have the final vote!
3) The finalists then need to get their family and friends to vote for them!
4) The couple with the most votes wins the grand prize, announced on June 23rd – one month to the day that Ireland made grá the law!
Simple terms and conditions apply:
a) The prize is as listed and you can’t have cash or other services instead!
b) The wedding must take place in Ireland within 12 months of the winning couple being announced, subject to availability. (If we’re not free, we can’t shoot your wedding!)
c) The photos taken will be used as part of our portfolio and for promotional use. Don’t worry, we’ll make sure you look gorgeous!
d) Extras such as albums, printed products, late coverage etc. will be charged at the normal rates
e) While we support equality (yay!) and hate discrimination (boo!) please remember that many, many (ok, not THAT many!) years ago we gave away LOTS of free weddings to straight couples when we first started shooting weddings, in order to gain experience and build our portfolio. This is no different as we’re new to same sex weddings; we just want to give everyone a chance at gorgeous wedding photos.
