Romantic Portmarnock Hotel Wedding

 

 

When your first meeting with a wedding couple is when they good-naturedly come along to a wine reception for your photography students because you cannot find any other dates that work , you know you’re dealing with lovely, laid back people! OUR kind of people! There’ll be wine we said, great they said! They spent the evening receiving wedding and marriage advice from our students and their families and by the time the last guest had left Audrey & Ian were ready to sign on the dotted line! We just knew that we’d really enjoy photographing their wedding – and that it would be just like them: relaxed, friendly, full of warmth and joy.

From the classic Lincoln car for the boys, to the baby pink Rolls Royce to match the bridesmaids this wedding was filled with sophisticated and elegant touches. We laughed our way through the getting ready portion of the day, despite the lashing rain, dodging showers to grab some shots outside while we could. Audrey was every inch the classic bride in a lace fishtail gown that could have been straight off the red carpet, perfectly topped off with classic Hollywood waves, letting her inner starlet shine! The elegant pale pink of the lace bridemaids’ dresses is perfectly picked out in their luscious flowers.

It was a joy to photograph Audrey & Ian’s wedding, they are such a lovely, welcoming couple and we felt we were among friends all day – from the fun filled morning, the joyous wedding mass to the incredibly moving speeches it was a day of wonderful emotions.
