Rustic and elegant wedding in the Bracken Court, Balbriggan

When a wedding invitation comes from a couple’s two little boys, you know you’re in for a super cute wedding! Filled with pretty details, organic touches and delicate lace this handmade vintage Dublin wedding is a photographer’s dream! Karen and Michael’s deeply personal wedding at the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan had their individual touches everywhere, from handmade scrolls for their order of service, to flip-flops in the bathrooms for tired feet!

Karen & Michael’s gorgeous little boys Alex and Jamie had special jobs too, with Alex as Chief Ring Security and Jamie as Chief Scroll Distributer and both young men performed their duties perfectly (and very cutely as you can see below.) Karen looked stunning in her elegant cut out back gown, a feature mimicked in the striking bridesmaids dress in cobalt blue.

It was clear that love and thought infused every moment of their sweet and emotional wedding ceremony including a ring warming ceremony where their guests each blessed their rings with love, a traditional hand-fasting, touching readings and very moving music carefully selected by Karen & Michael. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house by halfway through the wedding! (yes, including Brónagh’s!)

Then Denise whisked the happy couple away for half an hour to Ardgillan Castle for some stunning couple portraits. It’s clear that Karen & Michael are very much in love. That quiet kind of love, that shows itself in the little things: the way they look after each other and the fact that they clearly love to laugh together, they’re both so much more relaxed when they are together in photos! We had so many beautiful ones to choose from, but these are our absolute favourites. We’ve also decided that if Karen & Michael ever fancy a change of careers, they’d make a killing as wedding planners! We hear Michael is particularly talented at making those pretty little bows by hand! If it turned out as pretty as this, they could so plan our weddings!
